I have worked in chemical R&D for over 20 years both as a chemist and technical manager.  Now, I am using this experience to teach chemistry to LSMSA students.  I also am very happy to provide my insights and guidance to interested students on science/technology careers, curriculum paths, and college selection.

Personal Notes:

Believe it or not, I have a life beyond chemistry.  I am married with 1 daughter.  In addition to hunting and fishing, I enjoy playing guitar and alto sax, writing songs, and listening to jazz.  Genealogy is also one of my favorite things to do.

Special Project:  I have a special project the first week of each year called “Scientific Horizons”.  During this time, we visit various industries, labs, and medical facilities within driving distance of LSMSA.  This project is very economical ($35-70) and helps students to better appreciate and understand the real world of science/technology.  Click on the link to learn more.

Science Links of Interest for LSMSA Students:

LSMSA students, particularly those pursuing Distinction, enter science competitions with their project.  The Region IV Fair is linked to the Louisiana Science and Engineering Fair at LSU in the Spring.  The Siemens-Westinghouse competition occurs in the Fall each year.  Why not get involved in science and take on a project?  Your LSMSA science faculty will help you with your project.  Check with me for more information.
